A girl’s night is always amazing when it includes a Fashion Show!

A couple of my friends went out to dinner and then to a local Fashion Show in town. It was a chilly Sunday Fall evening so I knew that my outfit had to be fashionable but had to keep me warm at the same time. I picked up a couple fall inspired colored shirts from Marshalls a couple days prior so I wore one of those with my “go to” dark wash Gap jeans. To get the warmth element, I wore my off white faux fur vest from Target and tied that same color in with my wedge shoes, also from Target. I cannot leave the house without wearing some jewelry, so you will notice my gold and light blue pinnate necklace that I got from Charming Charlie. 

It was a great night with the girls and I cannot wait for our next show.

Back at blogging about fashion and clothing - woohoo!!!!!

Anyone that knows me, knows that I have always loved whales. Flash from the past: I grew up loving whales and dolphins and wanted to turn that love into a career. For many years people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grow up and my answer was ALWAYS, Marine Biologist. Needless to say, I did not pursue that career path and went down the Fashion path instead. So this outfit combines my 2 loves……..

The wonderful purple/navy shirt with pink whales is from Target, one of the best store EVER! The shirt is paired with pink shorts from Old Navy. The day that I wore the outfit, it was at the beginning of spring and it was starting to get a little warmer outside so I tied the outfit together with tan strappy sandals from Target. I get so excited when it starts to get warm outside because I know what is coming……sandal season.

Our 1st Home

Another exciting event that happened over the summer – WE BOUGHT A HOUSE! This is a different type of post than usual because I am not blogging about an outfit or jewelry but I had to share.

We shopped around for a house for about 3-4 months (I know that is not a long time) and we were getting kind of bummed out that we were not finding exactly what we were looking for. We would find houses that would be on one side of town and allow one of us to have a far commute and the other to be close to work. Some were newer but did not have the fence in back yard, that we need for our black lab mix and close to one another house. Some were older that needed A LOT of work and we were just not ready to tackle that task.

We had come across this house in some of the listings that our realtor sent us and it was in a town that I did not know much about but the house look like our style so I put it on the list to see. It was the day that we were going to see the house – we pulled in the drive way and both looked at each other and just smiled. We walked into the front door into this wide open floor plan with tall windows throughout, looked at each other again and smiled, and I touched his arm like “omg look at this”. We continued to walk through the house smiling and saying “I love this”. Got to the end of the tour, went to the back door, saw the screened in porch, the large back yard (with no fence), and property line lined with trees for privacy and just stood there looking in silence. 

Needless to say, after both of us talking about this house for days……we decided to put an offer in and it was accept right away and the rest is history. WE ARE HOME OWNERS!!!!
